CrackShield Foundation Crack Repair National Backed Warranty

All Crack Shield foundation wall crack repairs are covered by a comprehensive 15 year national back warranty. This warranty is meant to ensure the safety and peace of mind of CrackShield customers.

Warranty Details

All authorized CrackShield dealers will provide a 15 year warranty on any CrackShield foundation wall crack repairs. During that time, any leakage or water deemed to be originating from under a foundation wall crack repaired with CrackShield will be cover under warranty. Any labor and materials to repair said crack will be at no charge to the customer.

In the event that the authorized CrackShield installer has gone out of business since the initial repair Grate Products, LLC - as the manufacturer of CrackShield - will cover the warranty. Grate Products, LLC will arrange to have a neighboring CrackShield installer or Grate Products National Technician inspect the problem and perform and repairs necessary. Again, these repairs will come at no cost to the customer.

This warranty can be transferred to any new owners, but requires a $50 fee for any transfers after 6 months of installation. Transfers before 6 months will be done with no charge. All transfers can be performed by contacting Grate Products, LLC and providing the new owner's names.

Grate Products, LLC recommends homeowners install a full GrateDrain System before a basement is finished in order to control any water and moisture in the basement space. If you plan on finishing your basement simply sealing foundation cracks is not a complete solution and Grate Products, LLC recommends you contact your CrackShield dealer or installer for more information regarding making your basement healthy.

This warranty does not cover any ground water leakage from the floor wall joint, as this type of problem should be corrected by installing a GrateSump System from Grate Products, LLC.

In addition to that, this warranty covers only the labor and materials to repair said crack. Any cracks not repaired, wall snaps ties, and water coming over the sill are not covered by this warranty. Nor does this warranty cover damages to any items in the basement like carpet, walls, personal items, etc. If further repairs are necessary and if a finished wall covers the CrackShield repair it is the homeowners responsibility to remove and replace walls in order to access the crack.
